Passports must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in Mozambique and have at least two blank pages for entry and exit stamps.

Citizens of Angola, Botswana, Cabo Verde, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe may enter Mozambique without a visa under bilateral or regional agreements. The permitted length of stay varies according to nationality.
In addition, nationals of Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Côte d'Ivoire, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States may enter Mozambique without a visa for tourism or business visits of up to 30 days, subject to the conditions of Mozambique's Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) scheme.
