Transfer between terminals

An underground people mover connects the two terminals.

Driving directions

From central Pittsburgh, drive through Fort Pitt Tunnel, and then head northwest along Interstate 376 (Airport Expressway). The airport is accessible from junction 53; follow Airport Boulevard from Interstate 376 to the terminals. The total drive time from central Pittsburgh to the airport is approximately 25 minutes.

Public transport road

Bus:The 28X Airport Flyer bus (tel: +1 412 442 2000; www.portauthority.org/PAAC) runs to central Pittsburgh and Oakland, departing every 30 minutes outside of Door 6, Baggage Claim. The fare is US$3.75.

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout Pittsburgh International Airport. Public telephones are located throughout the airport and a post office is available on concourse D, along with a courier ‘mail drop’ in concourse B.

There are plenty of restaurants, bars, fast-food outlets and cafés available at Pittsburgh International Airport. These include eateries serving American-style food and cocktail bars.

Shopping

Numerous shops are located in the Airmall area of the Airside Terminal. There are also gift shops in the Landside Terminal and on concourses A, B and D. Among the outlets are a chocolatier and a golf shop.

Conference and business

There are no business facilities within the terminals. However, the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport (tel: +1 724 899 1234; www.hyatt.com) – which is directly connected to the terminals by moving walkways – has business and conference facilities, high-speed internet access and private workstations.

Disabled facilities

There are disabled toilets, ramps, lifts and TDD telephones within the terminals. Disabled car parking spaces are available in all car parks. Special assistance is available from the airport on request – passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should also inform their airline prior to travel. Transportation options for the disabled (and over-65s) are available to and from the airport via the ACCESS service (tel: +1 412 562 5353).

Car parking

The airport provides short-, long- and extended-stay parking facilities. Short- and long-term parking areas are connected to the Landside Terminal by an enclosed walkway. The extended-stay car park is linked via a free shuttle bus that runs continuously to/from the Landside Terminal. Valet parking is also available. Car rental

Most major hire companies, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Payless, are represented at the airport. Desks are located on the baggage claim level of the Landside Terminal. Pick-up and drop-off areas are on the lower level of the multistorey car park, a short walk from the Landside Terminal.

Hotels

There are a number of hotels near Pittsburgh International Airport, many of which operate courtesy shuttle services to and from the terminals. There is also one hotel within the airport grounds.
