Airport news

In July 2015 a grand US$4 billion reconstruction plan was announced that will see the aging airport be completely demolished and rebuilt, being replaced by one modern unified terminal. Additionally a new hotel and more retail space will be added. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2016 and will run until 2021. The project will be completed in phases, meaning the airport will still be operational throughout the project.
