Travel by rail

There is a daily Amtrak (tel: 1 800 872 7245, in the USA only; website: service between Chicago and New Orleans, which stops at Fulton. Three trains a week run between New York Union Station and Chicago, serving Ashland, South Portsmouth and Mayville. There is no service to Louisville, although Amtrak Thruway buses connect daily with Chicago.
