It has two terminals, seven concourses, and 192 gates handling thousands of domestic flights and connections to Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America. Please note that the underground Plane Train is not the same as the ATL SkyTrain. The Plane Train operates solely within the secure zone of the airport, while the ATL SkyTrain runs on the non-secure side, linking the Domestic Terminal with the rental car center and the GICC Gateway, which includes the Georgia International Convention Center and several hotels.
Interstates 75, 85, and 285 encircle Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, making it easily accessible from Atlanta, its suburbs, and other parts of Georgia.
Visitors travelling from downtown Atlanta typically use Interstate 85, taking exit 72 to reach the airport. The drive time is approximately 20 minutes, though this can vary with traffic conditions.
Public Transport
