Information

The airport information desk (tel: +44 20 7646 0000) is located near the entrance to the terminal, on the left.

Driving directions

Passengers travelling from the West End of London can use the eastbound Limehouse link tunnel. London City Airport can also be accessed from north London via the North Circular Road (A406), from south London via the Blackwall Tunnel, from east London via the A13 and from the M11 via the A406 (North Circular). The drive time to central London is approximately 30 minutes, depending on your exact destination and traffic conditions.

Public Transport

Public transport rail

Light rail: Docklands Light Railway (DLR) (tel: +44 343 222 1234; www.tfl.gov.uk) services run from London City Airport DLR station, which is next to the terminal building. Trains run every eight to 15 minutes, and take 22 minutes to reach Bank station (fare: £4.80). Fares on the DLR and London Underground are substantially reduced when using an electronic Oyster Card, which can be purchased at any London Underground ticket office. The nearest London Underground connection is Canning Town (Jubilee Line), which is seven minutes via the DLR from the airport.

Public transport road

Bus: Local bus 473 links London City Airport to Stratford and North Woolwich (from which London Underground stations are available), while buses 300 and 474 serve Canning Town (tel: +44 343 222 1234; www.tfl.gov.uk). A single bus ride costs £1.50, but it’s worth noting you can no longer pay for buses with cash, only a contactless debit card, purchased Day Travelcard or electronic Oyster Card can be used.

Shuttle: A payable daily shuttle bus service runs every 30 minutes to a number of hotels in the area.

Taxi: A taxi stand with licensed black taxis is located directly outside the terminal building. Metered fares to central London are approximately £25-30, depending on traffic conditions and the exact destination.
