Stavanger Airport Guide (SVG)
The airport is located about 15 km (9 miles) southwest of central Stavanger.
Stavanger Airport serves the city of Stavanger, Norway's third largest conurbation and a centre for the oil industry. Our guide to the airport provides information on transport, accommodation and terminal facilities.
The airport is clearly signposted from central Stavanger. Simply, head south out of the city on the main E39 road, turning right on to the N509 after about 8 km (5 miles). The N509 leads directly to the airport.
Public Transport
Bus:The Flybuss coach service (tel: +47 5159 9060; www.flybussen.no/stavanger) operates regularly between the airport and the central Fiskepiren in Stavanger, stopping at major hotels. The single fare is NOK 110 and the trip takes 20-30 minutes.
A public bus service (Route 9) also serves the airport – this costs NOK 27 and takes up to an hour (tel: +47 8150 0182; www.kolumbus.no). There is also a long-distance bus (tel: 8154 4444; www.nor-way.no) that links the airport with Kristiansand.
Taxi:Cabs are available outside Arrivals. The fare into Stavanger is approximately NOK 400, and the journey time about 15 minutes.
Terminal facilities
There is a bank located close to security, and several ATMs can be found at various points around the terminal, some of them offering Euros and Sterling as well as Norwegian Kroner.
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout Stavanger Airport. Public telephones are also available, and are situated at various points in the terminal.
Bars, fast food outlets and a pizza restaurant can be found in Domestic Departures. Similar options are available in International Departures, which also houses a large restaurant. A traditional Norwegian restaurant can be found landside.
A number of shops offering fashion, books, and duty-free items (in International Departures) are available, and there is a 24-hour kiosk offering groceries, snacks and a range of other items in the Arrivals area. Tax refunds are available for departing international passengers.

Airport facilities
There are no meeting facilities at the airport, but a range of conference and meeting rooms is available at the on-site Rica Airport Hotel (tel: +47 5171 6400; www.scandichotels.com).
The airport has 5,000 parking spaces, offering both long and short-stay parking. Facilities are operated by Europark (tel: +47 2205 3465; www.europark.no).
Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt are represented at the airport, with desks located in a green building across from the terminal.
Situated on the beach in nearby Sola, this 139-bedroom hotel is just a short drive from the airport. It offers fine coastal views, spa facilities, a quality restaurant, bar, wine cellar and conference rooms.
Located a few minutes from the airport by car, The Quality Airport Hotel offers spa facilities, a complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi and a shuttle to the airport. The hotel has a full-service restaurant, bar and conference facilities.
