Passports

To enter the Solomon Islands, a valid passport is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above.

You may be asked to show return tickets and proof of sufficient funds.

Visas

A visitor's permit for the Solomon Islands is issued free of charge on arrival to all nationals referred to in the chart above for stays of up to three months.

Visa note

Nationals not referred to in the chart are also advised to contact the diplomatic mission/high commission to check visa requirements for the Solomon Islands. Nationals of some countries not listed in the chart need clearance from the immigration department and are required to give prior notice in order to obtain a visitor's permit - check with the nearest diplomatic mission for details or contact the Director of Immigration (immdir@commerce.gov.sb).

If you arrive by yacht you need to complete an arrival form and ask for a visitor's permit.

If you are travelling via Australia, you may need a multiple-entry visa for Australia.

Extension of stay

You can extend your visitor's permit by up to three months only if there are special circumstances justifying the extension.
