From central Dammam, head west along King Fahd Road and follow the signs for the airport terminal.

Public Transport

Public transport road

Bus: Public buses are operated by SAPTCO (tel: (03) 883 8776; www.saptco.com.sa). Buses operate to Dammam city centre (journey time: approximately 30 minutes; fare: SAR12), as well as to Al-Khobar and Al-Hassa. There is a SAPTCO information desk in Arrivals.

Taxi: Taxis are available outside Arrivals. The fare to Dammam is around SAR50-60.

Several ATMs and bureaux de change are available in the landside areas of the terminal.

Internet access points and telephones can be found at various locations in the terminal building.

Food

A self-service café/restaurant and several snack bars are located both air- and land-side.

Shopping

There are numerous shops at Dammam King Fahd International Airport, including gift and craft retailers, along with extensive tax-free areas.

Luggage

Porters, lost property and left-luggage facilities are available.

Other

There is a large mosque above the multistorey car park, linked to the terminal via air-conditioned walkways. Additionally, there are travel agencies, play areas and a designated smoking room in Departures.

Conference and business

There are no meeting room facilities at the airport, but a premium lounge facility is available in International Departures, after security. Conference facilities are available in the region's large hotels, the nearest of which are located in Dammam and Al-Khobar.

Disabled facilities

Designated disabled parking facilities are available. The airport is generally wheelchair accessible, with ramps and lifts where required.

Car parking

There are nearly 5,000 long- and short-term parking spaces in a multistorey car park directly connected to the terminal building. There is additional outdoor parking. Payment is by cash only, on exiting the facility.

Car rental

Avis, Budget and Hertz are represented at Dammam King Fahd International Airport, along with a number of local Saudi operators. Car rental counters are situated in the arrivals area.

Hotels

There are currently no hotels at Dammam King Fahd International Airport. Accommodation is available in the nearby towns and cities, notably Dammam itself and Al-Khobar, where numerous major international chains are represented. Hotel bookings can, however, be arranged at the airport.
