Phnom Penh International Airport Guide (PNH)
Phnom Penh International Airport serves Cambodia’s capital of Phnom Penh and the surrounding area. It is Cambodia’s largest airport and flies to a number of destinations in Asia including China, South Korea and Malaysia. A proposal to build a new international airport to serve Phnom Penh was approved in January 2018. This new airport will replace the current Phnom Penh International Airport and will cost US$1.5 billion.
There is a tourist information booth at Phnom Penh International Airport. You can also ask for help at any of the airline counters.
From Phnom Penh city centre follow directions to Street 2004. After approximately 5km (3 miles) turn into Russian Federation Boulevard (110). Follow Russian Federation Boulevard (110) to Phnom Penh International Airport. The drive time is approximately 20 minutes, but sometimes 30 minutes with traffic.
Public Transport
Coach: There is a public bus service that stops directly outside the airport gates. A single journey from the airport to Phnom Penh city centre costs 1,500 Riel (or US$0.38).
Taxi: Taxis can be found outside the Arrivals Hall. Be sure to agree on a price with the driver before getting in – most taxi drivers charge between US$9 and US$15 (approximately 3,600-6000 Riel) depending on where you want to go. You can find tuk-tuks outside the Arrival Hall. They are cheaper than taxis and usually charge around US$7 (approximately 2,800 Riel).
Terminal facilities
ATMs can be found in the terminal. There are also several currency exchange counters located throughout the terminal.
A number of public phones can be found outside the terminal. Free internet access is also available.
Shops offering everything from luxury brand items to simple souvenirs and local Cambodian arts and crafts can be found within the terminal. There are also two duty-free shops located in the International Departure Hall and the International Arrivals Hall.
Airport facilities
Include bureau de change, duty-free shops, bookshop, post office, cafe, bar, tourist information, and Wi-Fi.
Phnom Penh International Airport does not offer any conference or business facilities. However, The Great Duke Phnom Penh not far away provides a range of excellent state-of-the-art conference and business rooms with projector equipment, specialist catering and luxurious surroundings.
There is a short-term car park at Phnom Penh International Airport. The car parking fees are as follows:
• Less than 16 minutes costs 2,000 Riel
• 16-30 minutes costs 3,000 Riel
• 31-45 minutes costs 3,500 Riel
• 46-60 minutes costs 4,000 Riel
• Each additional half hour costs 1,000 Riel
The car-hire companies available at Phnom Penh International Airport include Europcar, Avis, Enterprise, Alamo, Thrifty, Budget and Sixt.
