Transfer between terminals

Free shuttles run between the two terminals, which are interlinked and can be reached on foot within the building. Terminal 1 is for international and domestic arrivals and departures, while Terminal 2 is solely for domestic departures.

Driving directions

From central Lisbon take the northbound Avenida Almirante Reis, which becomes the Avenida Almirante Gago Coutinho and leads directly to the airport. From the outskirts of the city, take the E1 motorway northbound and exit at junction 3 toward the airport.

Public transport rail

Rail:There is a regular bus link to the nearby Estaçao do Oriente station, from which express trains run south to Alentejo and the Algarve, and north to Porto and other destinations.

Metro:The Aeroporto Station is located at Terminal 1. This station is on the red line of the Lisbon Metro network (tel: +351 21 350 0115; metro.transporteslisboa.pt), with interchanges at Alamada or Saldhana for city centre destinations. A single ticket costs €1.25 and the journey into the city centre takes around 30 minutes.

Public transport road

Bus:Regular Carris buses (tel: +351 21 350 0115; www.carris.pt) operate to the city centre (journey time: 20 minutes; fare: €1.80) and to the Cais do Sodré railway station from outside Terminal 1.

There is also the Aerobus (tel: +351 21 361 3193; www.yellowbustours.com) which links the airport with Lisbon’s main business district (Line 2) and the Cais do Sodré railway station (Line 1), where passengers can catch trains to the west coast or ferries across the Tejo (River Tagus). The Aerobus fare is €3.15

Taxi:Metered taxis are available 24 hours a day; the taxi rank is situated outside Arrivals and Departures at Terminal 1. The journey time to central Lisbon is around 10-15 minutes, and the fare starts at around €15.

Terminal facilities

Money

A bank is located in the departures area of Terminal 1. Bureaux de change and ATMs can be found in the departures and arrivals areas of the terminal. ATMs are also available in Terminal 2.

Communication

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport. Additionally, there is a post office in the departures area of Terminal 1.

Food

There is a wide range of restaurants, snack bars, cafés and fast-food outlets in the departures area at Terminal 1, including Portuguese eateries and a sushi restaurant. There are also a number of cafés/snack bars in the public concourses. Additionally, there are two snack bars in Terminal 2.

Shopping

There are many shops at Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport, including duty-free shopping in both terminals (for passengers leaving the EU). Shops in Terminal 1 offer Portuguese specialities such as port wine, cheeses and other regional foods, as well as designer clothes and confectionary. Terminal 2, meanwhile, has a number of newsagents.

Luggage

A left-luggage facility is open daily on level 2 of car park P2. The lost property office (tel: +351 21 844 4530) is located within the police office in the main departures shopping area of Terminal 1.

Other

An insurance desk is located at the check-in area. Among the other facilities at Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport are baby care areas, a first aid room in the arrivals area, showers in the departures lounge, a vet service and a spa and massage area.

The Airport Business Centre (tel: +351 21 150 3922) comes equipped with six meeting rooms providing meeting and conference space for up to 150 people. Disabled facilities

There are ramps, lifts, and specially adapted telephones and toilets for disabled passengers. Wheelchairs can be provided by airlines, and airline staff can also help wheelchair passengers through customs and immigration: passengers should request any special assistance upon booking a ticket. Disabled car parking spaces are available.

Car parking

Short-term car parks P1 and P2 have direct access to Terminal 1. P1 is located near the departures area and P2 is next to the arrivals area. P3 is a long-term outdoor car park and is a little further away from Terminal 1. These car parks are linked to both terminals via a free shuttle bus.

Car hire companies located at Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport include Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt as well as a number of local operators. Car hire desks are located in the arrivals area of Terminal 1.
