Bastia Poretta Airport is located on the northern end of the French Mediterranean island of Corsica, and is one of the principal airports on the island. The information desk (tel: +33 4 9554 5454) is located in the main hall of the terminal, and also offers tourist information.
From central Bastia, drive south on Rue César Vezzani and continue onto T11. Follow T11 and take the exit toward D507. Drive on D507 and follow the exit signs to the airport. The driving time is approximately 25 minutes, depending on traffic.
Public Transport
Bus: Regular shuttle buses (tel: +33 4 9531 0665) operate between the airport and Bastia city centre (journey time: 35 minutes; fare: €9). From central Bastia it is possible to take the Corsica railway (tel: +33 4 9532 8060) and long-distance buses to all areas of the island.
Taxi: Taxis (tel: +33 4 9536 0465; www.corsica-taxis.com) are available immediately outside the Arrivals Hall. Journey time into central Bastia is about 25-30 minutes, and fares range from €40-60. Higher rates apply between 1900 and 0700.
Terminal facilities
Free Wi-Fi access is available at the Bastia Poretta Airport. Mobile charging ports, nursing facilities, and a post office in the main hall are also available to passengers.
A bar is accessible to both departing and arriving customers and vending machines are stationed within the terminal.
There are three shops in the departures area that offer souvenirs, local crafts, and newspapers.
Airport facilities
There are no meeting rooms or business facilities at the airport. However, the nearby Hotel Poretta has a 250m (820ft) meeting room available (tel: +33 4 9536 0954; www.hotel-poretta.com) for conducting business.
The airport has 360 parking spaces and offers options for short-term and long-term stays. Drivers can park for up to 15 minutes is free of charge.
Car rental companies represented at the airport include Ada, Avis, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, and Sixt.
Also on the coast, the Hôtel La Lagune is a more luxurious alternative overlooking the sea and surrounded by parkland. The restaurant is open intermittently throughout the day, and rooms have balconies and patios.

The closest accommodation to the airport, the Hôtel Poretta is a 3-star facility offering an open-air swimming pool, meeting and conference facilities, and a fully-stocked bar. While there is currently no on-site restaurant, there are numerous eateries in the area.

Located on the coastline about 5km (3 miles) from the airport, Hôtel Le Lido is housed next to a sandy beach, and boasts a large outdoor pool and full-service restaurant. It also caters for meetings and events, and is fully air-conditioned.
