Ferry operators:

A year-round daily passenger and vehicle ferry service runs between North Sydney, Nova Scotia, and Port aux Basques on Newfoundland's southwest coast. Summer services run three times a week between North Sydney and Argentia on Newfoundland's Avalon Peninsula, mid June to late September. Saint Pierre Ferry (tel: +1 855 832 3455; www.saintpierreferry.ca) runs a daily ferry service in summer, to the French islands of St Pierre from Fortune on Newfoundland's Burin Peninsula.
