Where to stay in Western Australia

Hotels

There is a wide range of hotels and motels in Western Australia, including 5-star (luxury), 4-star (deluxe), 3-star (standard) and 2-star (economy). Standards vary, but ensuite, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge are usual.

Camping

There are many caravan parks and campsites in the state, most of which are located off the main highways. Bush camping with limited facilities is available in the national parks and is particularly good in the southwest of the state. It is important to observe the month of the year and the locations when lighting campfires, due to the risk of spreading wildfires in the summer months. A number of companies can arrange campervan hire.

Other accommodation

An extensive range of holiday flats, apartments and houses is available, both in Perth and the rest of the state. With full self-catering facilities these can often be excellent value.
