Passports

A passport valid for a minimum of 3 months from their date of entry is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above to enter Albania except for British and EU-nationals who can travel to Albania with their (1) ID card, which is valid for a minimum of 3 months from their date of entry.

Passport note

Passports should be valid for a minimum of 3 months from the date of entry into Albania for visa free stays and passports should be valid for a minimum of 3 months after the expiration date of the visa.

Visas

Visas are not required by nationals referred to in the chart above for stays in Albania of up to 90 days within a 6-month period. United States citizens may stay in Albania without a visa for up to a year.

Citizens of the following countries also do not need a visa to enter Albania: Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Barbados, Belarus (for a stay of 30 days), Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Georgia, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Hong Kong, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Macau, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, New Zealand, Nicaragua, North Macedonia, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, San Marino, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, Vatican City and Venezuela.

Types and cost

For visitors who do require a visa, short- and long-term visas are available. Costs vary according to the applicant's nationality; contact the consulate or embassy for details.

Validity

Short-term visa: up to 90 days within a 180-day period; long-term visa: more than 90 days within a 180-day period.
